Joel Salatin: Author of “Folks, This Ain’t Normal: A Farmer’s Advice for Happier Hens, Healthier People, and a Better World”
Joel Salatin, a full-time farmer in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley recently paid “Whole Living’s” Terri Trespicio a visit to talk about sustainable farming and his 9th book, “Folks, This Ain’t Normal: A Farmer’s Advice for Happier Hens, Healthier People, and a Better World”. And who better to take advice from than Joel?
Besides his book, he is also the owner of Polyface Inc, a farm that is also known as “The Farm of Many Faces.” Polyface services more than 3,000 families, 10 retail outlets, and 50 restaurants. His farm sells salad bar beef, pastured poultry, eggmobile eggs, pigaerator pork, forage-based rabbits, pastured turkey and forestry products. So, what does this farmer think about the way we eat and how we can eat healthier?
